The embattled Speaker of the Ekiti House of Assembly, Dr. Adewale Omirin, has accused the police of arresting three of his aides on the alleged order of Governor Ayodele Fayose.
They were arrested for alleged removal of President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign posters in Aisegba-Ekiti, Omirin’s home town.
According to a statement by his media aide, Mr. Wole Olujobi, those arrested include Tope Falebita, Olalere Tunde and Bayode Kamoru.
Omirin alleged that the crackdown on his supporters was a direct fulfilment of the governor’s threat to make life difficult for him.
